NODE/TADAEX Residency
We are happy to announce the selected participants of the new established exchange program. Georg Scherling (DE) has been selected to stay in Iran (prior to Tehran Annual Digital Art Exhibition (TADAEX), 2014) and Amir Bastan (IR) has been selected to stay in Germany (Prior and during to NODE15 – Forum for Digital Arts, 2015).
Both artists will work together on a new project and present their work on each of the festivals. We will inform you here about their work,

Amir Bastan
Georg Scherlin
Georg Scherlin is a visual artist based in Berlin. His work is based on translation and repetition. In his artistic practice, he observes everyday situations, social conventions of people and places and codes of communication. Through a diverse range of tools he re-assembles his notes and recordings into videos, sculptures and interactive installations. His work is playing with the idea of a narrative, creating moments that are located somewhere between fiction and reality. He received his master’ s degree in MultiMediaArt from the University of applied science in Salzburg, Austria. Georg is founding member of kont.txt, an artists collective artist collective for vj–ing and interactive installations in galleries, clubs and festivals around Europe.
About the program
Aim of the TADAEX/NODE Residency Program is to establish an exchange between the media arts scenes in Iran and Germany, and to connect the communities that have emerged around each festival. Both residency periods will last 2 weeks and lead into the respective festival. The artists will be invited to both festivals, and are encouraged to collaborate.

About the festivals
TADAEX – Teheran Annual Digital Arts Exhibition, Tehran, Iran
Tehran Annual Digital Art Exhibition (TADAEX) was founded in december 2011 to open a new window toward digital art in Iran and to create a serious and independent atmosphere for the enthusiasts and researchers of this field.
NODE – Forum for Digital Arts, Frankfurt, Germany
NODE emerged from the initiative of users and developers of the graphical software tookit vvvv. The biannual festival NODE – Forum for Digital Arts gathers designers, creative coders, digital artists and creatives of the digital media scene since 2008. NODE aims to foster a critical reflection within scene. The forum is supporting the creation of an innovative and responsible movement by encouraging new collaboration, interdisciplinary exchange and open knowledge sharing. The main goal of the forum is to empower individuals by encouraging them to experiment, prototype, and develop new things, to ask new questions and to provide answers.
